Conversation
Heart Game
(Valentine’s
Party Game)
by

(Prior to the game, pass
around a bowl of candy hearts. There
should only be four different colors of hearts from which to choose. Each person is asked to take whichever one
they want from a container that is passed around. Do not give them a clue of what they will
have to do.)
At the designated time in
the party, have individuals group together according to the color of
conversation heart they chose. This will
make up the four groups for the game.
Have the first group (purple) come up and
hand the designated leader of the group the assignment for the whole group written
on a slip of paper. The note should
read: “Everyone is your group must tell
what animal represents their personality and why.”
Have the second group (pink) come up
and hand the designated leader of the group the assignment for the whole group
written on a slip of paper as well as a pen or pencil. The note should read: “Your group is to make up a poem by using
only the words on the hearts that everyone has selected. The leader of the group is to recite it. You may have a couple of minutes to compose
it.”
Have the third group (yellow) come up
and hand the designated leader of the group the assignment for the whole group
written on a slip of paper. The note
should read: “Decide on at least three
people in your group to tell how they met their mate. More may share if they like.”
Have the fourth group (white) come up
and hand the designated leader of the group the assignment for the whole group
written on a slip of paper. The note
should read: “Your group does not have
to do anything – just smile!!!”
Note: The white group is usually the smallest as
individuals will usually choose a conversation heart of a certain color other
than white.
