The Philippians Package

Purchase items representing each of the items listed below. Each item represents an item found throughout the whole book of Philippians. The item should be wrapped and a number placed on each one. If desired, the gifts can be placed in a large basket or box.

At the designated meeting, each person should draw a number. If you have more ladies than the designated number of gifts, some of the ladies could read the scripture passage. If you do not have enough ladies for all the gifts, some ladies could open more than one.

Starting with number 1, every woman should select a gift, read the Scripture clue, and try to guess what is contained in the package before opening it. Following is a list of items I included in the “Philippians Package”. (All references are from the New American Standard Version.)

1. Joy® dish detergent – used throughout the Book of Philippians

2. A box of tissues – Philippians 2:26

3. Light bulb – Philippians 2:15

4. Fruit – Philippians 1:22

5. Glue – Philippians 4:1

6. Heart-shaped item – Philippians 1:7

7. Mirror – Philippians 2:4

8. A one-dollar bill – Philippians 3:7; 4:13, 19

9. Bold® laundry detergent – Philippians 1:14, 20

10. Vase – Philippians 2:17

11. Garbage bag – Philippians 3:8

12. Room air freshener or perfume – Philippians 4:18

13. Vitamins – Philippians 4:13

14. Map – Philippians 1:27

15. Thermometer – Philippians 2:27

16. Tatted cross or any cross-shaped item – Philippians 1:21

17. Paper crown – Philippians 4:1

18. Secret® deodorant – Philippians 4:12

19. Sewing pattern – Philippians 3:17
